Well, today was a lazy day. I didn't have much to do, nor any place to go till later to day, so pretty much I woke up late and lazed about the house. You cant blame me, you would have done the same after school all week long, and some pretty intense classes. Because I woke up late, I didn't eat much in the morning, but here's what I did eat today:

Breakfast: Water
Lunch: Chips and salsa
Dinner: Leek and potato soup (It was so good, I had two bowls!), salad, buns (2), and two brownies.
Yes, I pigged out on dinner, but I was hungry!
Anyways, more tomorrow

January 7th, 2010

First day, and I feel good, or at least kinda good.
Check it out:
Breakfast: Instant Breakfast Drink in Chocolate (what I always have, I'm not a big breakfast person)
Lunch: Half a samwich on white bread, with mustard and three pieces of turkey. Potato chips. Oreo cookies. Skipped the apple I had planned.
Dinner: Chicken wrapped in puff pastry slathered with cream cheese.
Snack: Two intense rich coconut squares with chocolate and a yogurt

Soooo, I'm not exactly proud of what I ate today. But hey, I dont think its bad.
But heres the kicker!
I did African dance and Modern dance today! They were fantastic! Total cardio, where your jumping and rolling and shaking and your on a high cause your muscles are just flooded with dopamine! It was wonderful...but by the end I just about fell asleep ;)

I think today was ok. Not good, not bad, ok.

Maybe better tomorrow? Maybe worse? I'll let ya know.
Later!

I always do this I'm not sure why, but if you have happened to have stumbled upon this blog in search of perhaps Sixties Pin Up girl photos, or exercise-fanatic-tip-thingies, welcome. This is shape up, and the reason the url is sixtiestomodern is because, as you can see from the photo, Sixties ladies knew how to be fabulous and voluptuous at the same time. Of course, this was decades ago before I was born (sigh), and thats no longer in style. Now its all skinny minnies, big sunglasses, and little bigeared dogs. And though I long for the sixties, more than I can say, I do feel self conscious, surrounded by my particular friends (perfect girls who happen to be both beautiful in their minds and hearts as well as their bodies and faces. Lucky ducks!). Its most likely that no one will read this blog, but I've heard that if you have a trainer or someone to work with you, you have more motivation. All my friends insist that I'm not fat, and its true I'm not, but I'm not where I'd like to be (curves, without the huge butt and chipmunk cheeks). And I like to do things by myself, so I've decided this is the best option: relate everything I do to my Bloggie, and see where I am in six weeks. Plus, summer is a long way off! Maybe I'll actually make my itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny-yellow-polka-dot-bikini-time goal this year! Whoooooooooo :)
So welcome to Shape Up blog a la Lady Nonchalant. See ya next time.
